There are two types of
reduced price tickets for Carnoustie's Championship Course currently on offer:
1. 'Dream Ticket'
2. 'Combination Ticket'
'Dream
Ticket' - available all the year round
The Angus and Dundee Tourist Board runs a reduced price
ticket, specially aimed at golfers who are planning a golfing holiday in Scotland.
The 4-in-1 'Dream Ticket' allows visitors to play a round on the Championship
Course at Carnoustie, plus single rounds at three Open Qualifying courses
in Angus for a total of just £285 plus a 2% credit card charge* (from 1 April
to 31 Oct 2011). Given that a single round on Carnoustie's Championship Course
from 1 April to 31 Oct 2010 normally costs £130, it's clear that this 4-in-1
golfing package represents excellent value.
The 'Dream Ticket' is also available during the Winter Season (i.e. 1 November
2010 to 31 March 2011), and is priced at £140.
* Please note that UK residents have the option of paying by cheque or debit
card, for which there is no 2% charge.
The four links courses that the 'Dream Ticket' covers are:
Panmure Barry Golf
Course is located just 2 miles from Carnoustie town centre, travelling west
along the A930 road towards Monifieth, which itself is only 4 miles west from
Carnoustie on the same road. Montrose is about 18 miles from Carnoustie, travelling
north along the scenic A92 coastal road or adjacent railway line.

Ticket' - available
all the year round
The
2011 Summer Season (i.e. from 1 April to 31 October 2011) prices for the 'Combination
Ticket' are as follows:
- Championship, Burnside and Buddon: £160.
- Championship and Burnside: £155.
- Championship and Buddon: £150.
So that you can see the good value of the 'Combination Ticket', here are the
standard 2011 Summer Season prices for the three courses at Carnoustie:
- Championship £130,
- Burnside £36,
- Buddon £31.
Listed below are the Winter Season (1 November 2010 to 31 Match 2011) prices
for the 'Combination Ticket':
- Championship, Burnside and Buddon: £77.50.
- Championship and Burnside: £75.
- Championship and Buddon: £72.50.
The 10/11 winter green fees for each course are Championship £68, Burnside

Other Types of Reduced Price Tickets Available for Visiting
Golfers in Angus
There are also two
other tickets that might interest visitors to Carnoustie and the surrounding
area:
1. 'Carnoustie Country Golf Pass'
2. 'Angus Nines Golf Pass'
'Carnoustie
Country Golf Pass' -
valid from 1 April to 31 October
The
Angus Tourist Board organises the 'Carnoustie Country Golf Pass' ticket. This
ticket offers golfers the choice of playing three rounds on specially selected
courses in Angus and Dundee, with the total cost for the three rounds starting
from £73, on weekdays from 1 April to 31 October. So buying this 3-round
ticket can offer visiting golfers a saving of up to 40% on green fees.
The 3-round ticket is valid
for a period of 3 consecutive weekdays. While
the ticket is not officially valid for weekend play, in most cases, clubs
will allow holders of the ticket to play at weekends at certain specified
times, although supplements may be payable. If
required, the
Carnoustie
Country website
can provide you with the relevant information regarding supplements and specified
tee times for weekend play.
Note: at time of writing, there is some doubt as to whether - or not - the
'Carnoustie Country Golf Pass' ticket is going to be continued. As soon as
we know what is happening, we will update this page.
‘Angus Nines Golf Pass’ - available all the year round
The ‘Angus Nines Golf Pass’ is the most recent special price golf ticket that
is available to golfers who are visiting Angus.
This ticket gives golfers the chance to play 27 holes on three scenic and
challenging 9-hole courses in Angus: Kingennie,
Edzell and Piperdam.
Available all the year round, the Pass is currently priced at £24 in the winter
season (1 November to 31 March) and £36 in the summer season (1 April to 31
October). So when compared against the current green fees for the three courses,
the Pass can offer golfers a saving of up to £16, depending on the season
and the day played on (i.e. week day and/or weekend).
The 'Angus Nines' ticket can be purchased at any of the three participating courses: Kingennie,
Edzell and Piperdam.
